Since the Swansea lockdown was announced on Friday, we've had a number of prospective buyers and tenants ask if we're still book viewing appointments and, if so, whether they're legally allowed to view. The short answer to both is "yes".

Under their reasonable excuses for indoor gatherings and being able to leave/enter an area in lockdown, the Welsh Government list "undertaking activities in connection with the purchase, sale, letting, or rental of residential property”. That means viewings are permitted, although we're only conducting viewings when it's safe and absolutely necessary to do so.

As you may have experienced if you've been on a viewing or had a market appraisal with us in recent weeks, there is a strong emphasis on virtual/video viewings wherever possible, and we have strict guidelines for in-person appointments to help ensure the safety of our customers and clients.

Our showroom office remains by appointment only and we kindly request that a face covering is worn (unless you have an exemption and are unable to do so). Our team will reciprocate and we have screens in place for additional peace of mind.

There’s no better way to sell or let your home.

At Bay Estate & Letting Agents, we really know the Swansea property market. We're local and we'll gladly share our knowhow and experience with honest advice that will be just right for you. So, whether you're buying, selling or letting in Swansea, get in touch. We're here to help.
